Tiruvuru is a Assembly Constituency Head quarters and Municipality  in Krishna DistrictAndhra PradeshIndia  It's located on The National Highway 221 from Ibrahimpatnam to Jagadalpur (NH 221) and a good and peaceful place for retired and elderly people with number of hospitals across specialties are available in town. It is a business center for nearly 51 villages around it. Population of the town was around 60,000 as on 2012. It is a historical place also. Sri Krishna Deva Raya has visited this place during his Jaitra yatra(Victory Voyage) of Kondapalli in 1540. 20000 Jains were murdered by Veerasaivas in olden days.

Tiruvuru is shopping town and large Business center for all the surrounding villages of Krishna and Khammam districts. Agriculture is the main occupation for large part of population with paddy being main crop, second largest being the business. Clothes Stores and Jewellery shops are established along the main road of the town. Tiruvuru is also developing as a agro-business centre rapidly. Mangoes that are grown in orchards around the town every summer are exported as far as United Kingdom and U.S.A and are well known for their own very special taste. This town has good communications with the Khammam district and the towns nearby are Khammam (60kms away), Vijayawada (80kms), Sathupally (25kms), Kothagudem (50kms) and Nuzvid (50kms).

Sri Nemali Venugopalaswamy Temple in Nemali village of Tiruvuru Assembly constituency  is very famous and Brahmotsavam was conducted every year.  In every month ending Sri Venugopalaswamy masa kalyanam also conducted accordingly.

In Tiruvuru town, Madhira Road,By pass road, Bose Bomma centre, Jaibhavi Centre, Chirala Centre, Factory Centre(or)k.N.R Center,Bypass Road, Santhi Nagar, Raju Peta, Ganesh Centre, Vaishnava Bazar, Pathur, Busstand Centre, Janta Halls Centre, Ashok Nagar,R&B guest house road, Shanti Nagar are main localities in Tiruvuru. The town has One Engineering College and Three B.ED Colleges along with Six Private Junior colleges,Govt junior and degree colleges. There are 4 Cinema Halls in the town. Tiruvuru has APSRTC bus depot. Frequent bus services operated to Vijayawada, Bhadrachalam, Madhira,Khammam and Hyderabad daily. Nearest Railway stations are Madhira and khammam.
